Welcome to the Huntly CFA Website 

 

The Huntly Fire Brigade consists of approximately 60 volunteer members, including around 25 first responders to fires and other emergency incidents. The balance is made up of broader brigade members providing a wide range of brigade support activities, as well as Junior Brigade and Competition Team elements.

The Brigade operates two modern 4WD Heavy Tankers. Huntly Tanker 1 is a 3.4D Tanker, and is a CFA asset provided new to the Brigade in 2005. Huntly Tanker 2 is a 3.4C Tanker, and is a Brigade owned asset purchased in 2007 through a combination of CSESP funding and several years of Brigade fundraising.  A new trailer was also added to the Brigade inventory on 2011 to replace an aging quick-fill pumping trailer.  This closed body trailer includes a new quick fill pump, generator, mobile lighting unit and miscellaneous salvage equipment.

 Huntly Fire Station is located on the Midland Highway, Huntly and consists of a Class 1A fire station housing the two tankers.  A separate building that functions small meeting room/office is located behind the fire station, with a double-garage used for housing the quick-fill. trailer and miscellaneous storage located at the rear of the Station block.
